The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has registered a total of 2,345,476 new voters during Phase One of the Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise across the country.

The voter registration drive was targeting 2.5 million new voters, meaning the commission fell short by 154,524 voters.

The Central Kenya Economic Bloc recorded the highest number of new voter registrations with a total of 527,207 voters.
