National Super League side Kabati Youth FC has received a major boost after President William Ruto pledged financial and infrastructural support aimed at reviving the club’s home ground and strengthening its operations. The Head of State committed KSh 2 million in support of Kabati Youth, with the funds set to be channelled through Sports Principal Secretary Elijah Mwangi. The support is expected to help ease the club’s operational challenges as it continues competing at a high level in the National Super League. Mukerenjo Primary School Ground Set for Completion In addition to the financial pledge, President Ruto also promised to fast-track the completion of the Mukerenjo Primary School grounds project, setting a three-month timeline for its completion. Once completed, the facility is expected to restore Kabati Youth’s long-awaited return to their home ground. The club previously used the venue during their time in the third tier, but have been forced to relocate this season, playing their “home” matches at Thika Stadium and the SportPesa Arena due to stalled construction works. Relief for Kabati Youth The President’s intervention is seen as a major relief for Kabati Youth, who have struggled without a stable home venue. Losing home-ground advantage has affected logistics, fan support, and overall team performance. Restoring the Mukerenjo facility is expected to bring stability back to the club and strengthen their long-term development plans. Leadership Behind the Push Credit has been given to Kabati Youth chairlady Diana Wahura and board member Simon Wainaina, whose well-organised engagement and structured presentation helped bring the club’s situation directly to the attention of the President. Their efforts played a key role in ensuring the challenges facing the club were clearly communicated and addressed at the highest level. Looking Ahead With financial support confirmed and infrastructure works expected to resume immediately, Kabati Youth now looks forward to a more stable and promising future. The club and its supporters will be watching closely as the Mukerenjo Primary School grounds project takes shape, with hopes of returning home within the promised timeline. For Kabati Youth, this marks not just government support—but a renewed chance to rebuild identity, performance, and community pride. photo courtsey Post navigation Masosa Starlets Shine with Dominant 3-0 Victory Over Kapkorech Queens Match Officials Confirmed for 99th Mashemeji Derby at Nyayo Stadium
