The 2025/26 league season has officially come to an end, with Gor Mahia emerging as champions after a dominant campaign that saw them collect 69 points from 34 matches. K’Ogalo proved why they remain one of Kenya’s football powerhouses, winning 20 matches, drawing nine, and losing only five. Their impressive goal difference of +28 highlighted their consistency throughout the season as they scored 50 goals while conceding just 22. AFC Leopards pushed hard in the title race and finished second with 64 points. Ingwe recorded 19 wins and scored 44 goals, but a few costly defeats prevented them from catching their fierce rivals at the top. Kenya Police secured third place with 55 points after an impressive season built on defensive discipline. They conceded only 21 goals, the fewest in the league, but too many draws (16) limited their title challenge. Nairobi United enjoyed a strong campaign, finishing fourth on 53 points, while fan-favourite Shabana rounded off the top five with 52 points. The Glamour Boys will take plenty of positives from a season that saw them remain competitive against some of the league’s biggest clubs. In the middle of the table, Kakamega Homeboyz, KCB, Murang’a Seal and Tusker all had decent campaigns, although they fell short of mounting serious title challenges. APS Bomet, Mara Sugar and Bandari finished level on 44 points, demonstrating just how competitive the league was this season. Mathare United and Ulinzi Stars ended with 41 points each, while Posta Rangers narrowly avoided the relegation zone after collecting 40 points. At the bottom, Kariobangi Sharks endured a difficult season and finished 16th with 38 points, resulting in relegation. Joining them in the drop zone were Bidco United and Sofapaka, whose struggles throughout the campaign ultimately proved costly. Bidco United managed only five wins all season and finished with 27 points, while Sofapaka suffered a nightmare campaign, recording just three victories and ending the season bottom of the table with 19 points. As the curtain falls on another exciting season, attention now shifts to the transfer window and preparations for next season. Gor Mahia will celebrate another league title, AFC Leopards will reflect on a strong challenge, and the relegated sides will begin planning their fight back to the top flight. For football fans, the season delivered plenty of drama, surprises, and memorable moments, setting the stage for what promises to be another exciting campaign next year.
